Our Team

Dr Chris David Donaldson is a fully accredited, hospital consultant, specialist orthodontist and medical doctor with broad ranging experience, working in London and the South East of England. Chris' sub-specialist interests are in advanced smile and facial aesthetics, airway development procedures, dento-facial orthopaedics and also the digital virtual surgical planning of facial & jaw surgery.

Dr Donaldson was appointed as a Consultant in the NHS at a London hospital in 2021, where he leads, trains and assesses a team of trainee orthodontists.

Chris attended the Royal Grammar School in Guilford before going on to dual qualify in medicine and dentistry at King's College London. After a number of years working in hospital jobs as a dental surgeon and hospital doctor in London, he specialised in orthodontics at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital & Kingston Hospital; he has been on the specialist list since 2018. During his training he was awarded with an MSc from King’s College London and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Dr Donaldson then completed further higher specialist training and was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, which enables him to be a hospital-based consultant.​

Dr Donaldson is a member of the European Orthodontic Society and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Chris’ work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in medical and orthodontic research journals; he is also the author of a chapter in a popular orthodontic textbook. Chris also reviews submissions to the Journal of Orthodontics and is an MSc Research Project Supervisor.

Chris’ focus at ONE ORTHODONTICS is in the use of orthodontics & dento-facial orthopaedics to enhance aesthetics, function and oral health through the delivery of precise and efficient care in a comfortable, relaxed environment.
